Help Page

An AI help center page you publish in a minute

Switch on your agent's Help Page and you get a public support page with your title, a short description, up to 6 link buttons and the chat as the main content. Your AI agent answers there from everything you trained it on. Link to it from your menu, show it inside a page of your site, or serve it on a subdomain of your own.

Example: a visitor on an online shop's Help Page

Visitor: I ordered yesterday. Can I still change the delivery address?

Agent: Yes, as long as the order hasn't shipped yet. Orders usually leave our warehouse within one business day, so please reply to your order confirmation email with the new address as soon as possible. Once the parcel has shipped, you can redirect it from the tracking link instead.

Visitor: And where do I find the tracking link?

Agent: It is in the shipping confirmation email we send when the parcel leaves the warehouse. You can also use the "Track your order" button at the top of this page.

A help center takes time to build, and visitors still have to search it

A classic help center needs a design, a structure, dozens of articles and someone to keep them current. Visitors then search, skim three articles and still write to support. Many small teams never get that far, so the "Help" link in their menu goes to a contact form. The Help Page is a shorter path: one page, hosted by intoCHAT, where the visitor asks the question in their own words and your agent answers from your website, files, Q&A pairs and other sources. The links you add point to the pages people look for most, such as your FAQ, returns or order tracking.

Why use a hosted AI help page

Nothing to design or host: the page takes its look from your agent and is ready when you click Save.

  • Live in a few clicks

Open the Share tab, switch on Publish the Help Page, fill in the optional fields and click Save. The page is live at its own address right away, with your agent's colors, font and corners.

  • The chat is the main content

Instead of a list of articles, visitors see your agent, with its welcome messages and suggested questions. It answers from your trained knowledge, follows your instructions and can ask for contact details with your lead form.

  • Up to 6 links for the pages people look for

Add buttons above the chat for your FAQ, contact page, returns policy or order tracking. Each has a label of up to 40 characters and opens in a new tab.

  • On your own domain

On Pro and Enterprise, connect a subdomain such as help.yourcompany.com and the Help Page opens at its root, with HTTPS. On every plan you can link to the page or show it inside a page of your own site with an iframe.

  • Every chat in your dashboard

Chats on the Help Page are normal conversations: they appear on the Conversations tab, leads on the Leads tab, and your team can review them like any other chat.

How to publish your AI help page

  1. Train your agent

Add your website, files, Q&A pairs and other sources on the Knowledge tab and train the agent. Set its welcome messages, suggested questions and colors on the Appearance tab: the Help Page uses them.

  2. Switch on the Help Page

On the Share tab, open the Help Page card and switch on Publish the Help Page. Enter a title of up to 80 characters (or leave it empty to use the agent's name) and a description of up to 300 characters.

  3. Add your links and save

Click Add link for each button you want above the chat, with a label and a full address starting with https:// or http://. Click Save. Page address then shows the address with Copy URL and Open.

  4. Put it where visitors look for help

Use Copy link code for a "Help" item in your menu or footer, or Copy embed code to show the page in an iframe on yoursite.com/help. On Pro and Enterprise, connect a custom domain to serve it at help.yourcompany.com.

Help Page details

  • Your branding, no design work

The header uses the Header color from the Appearance tab, with your agent's avatar, or the first letter of the title when there is none. The page follows the agent's theme, font and corner style.

  • In the visitor's language

The page's language follows Widget language on the Appearance tab. With Automatic, the page and the chat follow the visitor's browser languages, with English as the fallback. Your title, description and link labels are shown as you wrote them.

  • Ready for search engines

A published Help Page can be indexed. Its title in search results is your title followed by "Help" in the page's language, and its description is the one you entered. With a custom domain, search engines are pointed at your domain.

  • You decide who sees it

The page is public once published. While the agent is private, it stays off whatever the switch says. Visitors from a country you blocked see the page with a note that the chat isn't available in their region.

  • Framing follows your allowed domains

Allowed domains don't hide the Help Page, because it lives on intoCHAT's domain or yours. They do decide which websites may show it in a frame, so add your own domain to the list before you embed it.

  • Returning visitors pick up where they left off

A visitor who comes back in the same browser continues their conversation, and messages count toward your plan like any other chat.

  • Changes without new code

Edit the title, description or links and click Save: the page shows the change on the next reload. The link and the iframe code stay the same.

Frequently asked questions

What is an AI help center page?

It is a support page where an AI agent answers visitors' questions instead of making them search through articles. In intoCHAT it is the Help Page: a public page for your agent with your title, a short description, up to 6 link buttons and the chat, which answers from the content you trained the agent on.

Is this a full help center with articles?

No. The Help Page is one page, not a portal of articles with categories and search. Your link buttons can point to the FAQ, docs or policy pages you already have, and the chat answers from everything the agent was trained on, including those pages if you added them as sources.

Which plan do I need?

The Help Page, the link code and the iframe code work on every plan, Free included. Serving the page on a subdomain of your own, such as help.yourcompany.com, needs Pro or Enterprise. Chats on the page use your plan's messages like any other chat.

Can I put the Help Page on my own domain?

Yes, in three ways. On Pro and Enterprise, connect a subdomain with a CNAME record and the page opens at its root, with HTTPS. On every plan, add a menu link to the page, or create a page such as yoursite.com/help and show the Help Page in an iframe, so the address bar shows your domain. Root domains such as yourcompany.com can't be used as custom domains.

Will the Help Page rank in search engines?

A published Help Page can be indexed at its intoCHAT address, or at your custom domain when you connect one, with your title and description. A page on your site that only frames the Help Page doesn't count as your own content, so write some text of your own around the frame if that page should rank.

What do I need to set up before publishing?

Only a trained agent. Every field on the Help Page card is optional: without a title the agent's name is used. The page takes its colors, avatar, welcome messages and suggested questions from your agent's settings, so set those on the Appearance tab first.

Can I take the page offline again?

Yes. Switch Publish the Help Page off and click Save, and the address shows a "page not found" page. Making the agent private has the same effect. A duplicated agent keeps the Help Page settings but starts with the page switched off, at its own address.

Is the Help Page a different agent from my website widget?

No. It is the same agent, with the same knowledge, instructions and model. Its chats appear on the Conversations tab next to the ones from your widget, and leads on the Leads tab. Only train a public agent on content you are happy to make public.
