Everything in intoCHAT
What you can build, train, connect, install and review today. Each part links to the steps in the docs.
- Instructions
- Describe the agent's role, what it should and shouldn't answer, and its tone, in plain language.
- Templates
- Start from a ready-made template such as Customer Support Agent, Sales Agent, E-commerce Specialist or Real Estate Agent. They tell the agent to reply in the visitor's language.
- Welcome message and suggested questions
- The first message visitors see, plus example questions they can tap to start the conversation.
- Colours and position
- Set four colours for the launcher, header, visitor and agent messages, or pick one of five palettes. Put the launcher bottom left or bottom right.
- Icon, avatar and wording
- Use your own launcher icon and agent avatar, and change the helper text next to the launcher and the input placeholder.
- Brand import
- Enter your website address and intoCHAT picks up your logo and colours, adjusting them where needed so every message stays readable.
- Reply language
- Replies come in the visitor's language by default. You can set one of 31 languages for when the visitor's language is unclear, or for every reply.
- Web search
- Off by default. When your content doesn't answer an in-scope question, the agent can search the web, optionally only on sites you list, and links its sources on a “From the web” line.
- Website
- Enter a URL and intoCHAT finds the site's pages from its map and sitemap, up to 500 per crawl. You choose which ones to read.
- Files
- PDF, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OpenDocument, RTF, EPUB, CSV, plain text and Markdown, up to 50 MB per file.
- Text and Q&A
- Paste text such as a policy, or write question-and-answer pairs for answers that must be worded exactly. Each question can have up to five other phrasings, and Q&A pairs can be imported from a spreadsheet.
- Source list
- See the status of every source, filter by status or type, search, and retrain sources after they change.
- How answers are found
- Questions are matched against your knowledge by keywords and by meaning. Follow-up questions are read in the context of the conversation, so “and how much is it?” still finds the right passage.
- No guessing
- When nothing relevant is found, the agent says it can't confirm the answer. Your knowledge is treated as reference material, never as instructions.
- Notion
- Import Notion pages through a read-only connection you authorize in Notion, up to 25 pages per import.
- Auto-resync
- Off by default. intoCHAT re-reads your website and Notion pages daily or weekly and retrains only the pages whose text changed.
Act
Let the agent fetch live information, collect details and book meetings while it talks.
Connecting your systems- HTTP actions
- The agent calls an API you choose when a question needs it, with values from the conversation, such as an order number, filled into the request.
- Set up from cURL
- Paste a cURL command and the action is created for you, including its authentication header.
- Actions in the visitor's browser
- Call your site's own API with the visitor's existing login, or run a function your page defines, such as adding a product to the cart.
- Testing
- Try each action from the dashboard and see its response before your visitors use it.
- Chat forms
- Build your own forms, such as a quote request, a booking request or a return, and the agent shows them under a reply when they fit. Submissions are listed on the Leads tab and export as CSV.
- Booking with Cal.com or Calendly
- Connect a Cal.com or Calendly event type and the agent shows open times in the chat. The visitor picks one, enters a name and email, and the meeting is booked in your calendar. Calendly needs a paid Calendly plan (Standard or above).
- Script tag
- One line of code on any site where you can edit the HTML, including Shopify, Webflow, Wix and Squarespace.
- WordPress plugin
- The official plugin adds the agent to every page of a WordPress or WooCommerce site.
- Inline embed and direct link
- Show the chat inside a page with an iframe, or share the agent's own page as a link or QR code.
- JavaScript SDK
- Open, close or toggle the chat from your own code, tell the agent who the signed-in visitor is, switch the widget language and react to chat events with window.IntoChat.
- Identity verification
- Your server signs a signed-in user's id, so nobody can pose as someone else. The conversation shows the verified user, API actions can use their details, and you can let only verified visitors chat. The AI only sees their name.
- Changes without redeploying
- Colours, texts and knowledge load when the page opens, so your edits reach the site without touching its code.
- Across pages
- The conversation continues as visitors move from page to page on your site.
- Temporary chats
- Visitors can switch to a temporary chat, which isn't saved.
- Help Page
- Turn on a hosted page for the agent with a title, a description, up to six links and the chat.
- Widget in five languages
- The widget's buttons, notices and forms appear in English, German, French, Italian or Spanish, following the page, the visitor's browser or your choice.
- Previous chats
- Off by default. Visitors can reopen and continue up to 10 of their chats from the last 90 days. The list is kept only in their browser.
- Images and PDFs from visitors
- Off by default. Visitors can send images and PDFs, which the agent reads with their message. Files are stored privately with the conversation.
- Preview links
- Share a private link that shows your agent over a screenshot of a prospect's website.
- Where and how often
- Limit the agent to your domains or keep it private, block countries, cap messages per visitor per hour and set a monthly reply cap per agent.
- Contact form in the chat
- Ask for an email address, a phone number or both, always shown below the agent's answer.
- When it appears
- Only when the visitor asks, when the agent judges it fits your description of a good lead, after a number of messages or on keywords you set, or a mix of rules and AI.
- Never pushy
- The form appears at most three times in one conversation.
- Leads tab
- Review every submitted contact, delete leads, and export them as a CSV file for your CRM or mailing tool.
- Live chat or hand-off by email
- When a visitor asks for a person and someone from your team has the Live chat inbox open, they take over the chat in the widget while the AI stays silent. When nobody is online, the agent emails the conversation and a short summary to your team, who reply to the visitor by email.
- Slack alerts
- Post new leads, hand-off requests, form submissions and bookings to a Slack channel. The agent doesn't chat in Slack.
- Webhooks
- Send the same events as signed JSON to your own server, or to Zapier, Make or n8n through their webhook steps, with retries and a delivery log.
- REST API
- From Starter, your own server can chat with your agents, read conversations and leads, and add or delete knowledge sources, with API keys limited to the scopes you choose. Each reply through the API counts as one message.
- Playground
- Chat with the agent in the dashboard before it goes live. Temporary chats there aren't stored.
- Conversations
- Read every conversation, search them, filter by date, country, rating or low confidence, export them as CSV, and copy or delete them.
- Dashboard
- Conversations, messages, leads and messages per conversation over the last 7, 30 or 90 days, with each agent's status.
- Usage
- See how many messages you have used against your plan's monthly limit.
- Why this answer
- Each reply in a transcript shows a confidence score, the knowledge it used grouped by source, and the actions it called.
- Questions to improve
- Once a day, questions that got a low-confidence reply, found no knowledge or were rated not helpful are grouped for you. Answer one, or improve any reply, and it becomes a Q&A pair.
- Outcomes, topics and sentiment
- See the converted share, button clicks, helpful rate and low-confidence share against the previous period. Optional nightly analysis labels each conversation with topics and a sentiment.
- Email reports
- An optional daily summary and a weekly insights email that compares last week with the week before.
- Team members
- Invite people as Admin, Editor or Viewer: 2 seats on Starter, 5 on Pro and unlimited on Enterprise.
- Two-factor authentication
- Protect your email-and-password sign-in with a code from an authenticator app, with recovery codes as a backup. Google sign-in relies on your Google account's own security.
Plans
Every plan includes everything above. Plans differ in the number of agents, messages, knowledge, website crawls and team members, and paid plans can hide the “Powered by intoCHAT” line and use the REST API. See pricing for the limits.
