Widget customization

Chat widget customization that makes the chatbot look like yours

Choose the colors, avatar, launcher icon, texts and position, or paste your website address and let brand import propose your logo and colors. A live preview shows every change before you save.

A generic widget looks like a third-party add-on

Visitors notice when a chat bubble does not match the rest of the site. Default colors, a stock icon and a generic greeting make the chat feel bolted on, rather than a place to ask your business a question.

What you can change

Every setting sits in the Appearance tab, with a live preview next to it.

  • Your colors

Set the launcher, header, visitor message and agent message colors, or start from one of five palettes. Message text switches between black and white automatically to stay readable.

  • Brand import

Enter your website address and intoCHAT proposes your logo and colors, adjusted where needed for readable messages. Nothing changes until you apply and save.

  • Avatar and launcher icon

Upload an agent avatar for the chat, and your own launcher icon to replace the default sparkle on the chat button.

  • Your words

Write the welcome message, the launcher tooltip, the input placeholder and up to six suggested questions.

  • Your brand up front

On any paid plan you can hide the "Powered by intoCHAT" line under the message box.

How to customize your widget

  1. Import your brand

In the Appearance tab, enter your website address. Review the proposed logo and colors, then apply them or keep your own.

  2. Fine-tune colors and images

Adjust any of the four colors or pick a palette, then upload an agent avatar and a launcher icon.

  3. Write the texts

Set the welcome message, tooltip, placeholder and suggested questions in the language most of your visitors use.

  4. Place it and save

Put the launcher bottom left or bottom right, check the live preview and save. Your site shows the new look on the next page load, with the same script tag.

Frequently asked questions

How do I customize the chat widget?

Open your agent's Appearance tab, change colors, avatar, launcher icon, texts and position while the live preview updates, then save. Your site picks up the changes on the next page load. You do not need to change the embed code.

Can I remove the "Powered by intoCHAT" branding?

Yes, on any paid plan, starting with Starter at $19 a month. It is a single switch in the Appearance tab. On the Free plan the credit stays visible.

What does brand import do?

You enter your website address and intoCHAT picks up your logo and main colors, adjusting them where needed so messages stay readable. It is only a proposal: nothing changes until you apply it, and saving is a separate step.

Can I use custom CSS or my own fonts?

The widget is styled through the settings in the Appearance tab: colors, avatar, launcher icon, texts and position. Custom CSS and font choices are not among those settings.

Do the welcome message and suggested questions change with the visitor's language?

No. You write one welcome message and one set of suggested questions per agent, and they appear as written. The agent's replies follow the visitor's language, so write these texts in your main language or keep them simple.

Can I show the chat inside a page instead of as a bubble?

Yes. Besides the floating bubble, you can embed the chat inline with an iframe or share a direct link to the agent's own page. The bubble itself can sit bottom left or bottom right.
